ICONYK and DJ UpsideDown Join Hands on Dynamic Score for Upcoming Movie The Bhootnii
Talented music producer and composer ICONYK (Nikhil Malik) joins forces with award-winning producer DJ UpsideDown to create a boundary-pushing soundtrack for the highly anticipated horror-comedy film The Bhootnii, which will hit screens in theaters on April 18, 2025.
A Contemporary Reimagining of Horror-Comedy
The Bhootnii, a film directed by Sidhaant Sachdev, is set in a vibrant college campus and subtly integrates supernatural aspects into the fabric of modern urban life. The movie holds out for a thrilling combination of college drama, romance, comedy, and ghost stories, to be topped with world-class visual effects courtesy of a studio which has worked on huge Marvel movies.
Musical Collaboration: A Decade in the Making
This is the first cinematic collaboration between ICONYK and DJ UpsideDown following more than a decade of fruitful musical activities. DJ UpsideDown, who has been credited with contributions to Bollywood superhits such as “Burj Khalifa” (Laxmii) and “Humraah” (Malang), brings his unique blend of electronic, hip-hop, and world music to the project. Directed by Sidhaant Sachdev, a longtime collaborator of ICONYK since their work on his debut short film in 2011, this collaboration is a full-circle experience 14 years in the making.

Nikhil Malik, aka ICONYK, is a Mumbai composer, producer, multi-instrumentalist, DJ, and live performer.
