Aspect Global is pleased to announce the appointment of Mr. Surendra Kumar Sharma as Chief Operating Officer – Aspect Energy, reinforcing the Group’s leadership as it expands its presence across the power and renewable energy sector.
With over 19 years of experience spanning power, renewable energy, infrastructure and project development, Surendra brings extensive industry expertise and a strong track record in developing and scaling large-scale energy projects. In his new role, he will spearhead the strategic direction and growth of Aspect Energy, with a focus on project development, operational excellence, strategic partnerships and building a robust, future-ready energy platform for the Group.
Surendra joins Aspect Energy from Jindal India Renewable Energy Ltd., where he was heading Project Development. Over the course of his career, he has held senior leadership and management positions at Adani Power, Reliance Power, Sterlite Power (Vedanta Group), Wind World India Ltd., and ReNew Power, among others.
His expertise encompasses utility-scale solar and wind, hybrid renewable energy projects, Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS), pumped storage, land acquisition, regulatory and statutory approvals, power evacuation, grid connectivity and project execution. He has worked extensively across the project development lifecycle, including land and site identification, feasibility and due diligence, connectivity planning, statutory approvals and execution. His recent experience includes power evacuation and connectivity planning for projects exceeding 5 GW, alongside large-scale land feasibility and renewable energy development initiatives.
