With over 10,000 students, live music, fashion and cultural performances, NIU’s annual fresher celebration marked the beginning of a new chapter for its incoming batch.
University life often begins with more than orientation sessions and new classrooms. It is also about finding a community, discovering new interests and creating memories that stay long after graduation. At Noida International University (NIU), these moments took centre stage at Rubaru Freshers 2026, a campus celebration featuring music, dance, fashion and performances by students, alongside a live appearance by singer and actor Parmish Verma.
The event brought together over 10,000 students, faculty members and university leadership to welcome the incoming batch and celebrate the start of a new academic journey. Combining entertainment with student-led performances, the annual gathering offered a platform for young talent to take the spotlight while introducing freshers to the university’s campus culture.
A Celebration of Music, Fashion and Student Talent
From a fashion show and dance performances to singing acts and live band performances, Rubaru Freshers 2026 brought together a diverse mix of creative expressions. The programme encouraged students to showcase their confidence, artistic abilities and individuality beyond the classroom.
Parmish Verma’s performance added a star attraction to the celebrations, bringing live entertainment to an event centred on student participation and campus spirit.
With its combination of music, fashion and cultural programming, the gathering reflected the role university events can play in helping students connect with their peers and feel part of a larger community.

Addressing the freshers, Dr Devesh Kumar Singh, Chairman of Noida International University, emphasised the importance of university life in shaping young minds beyond academic qualifications.
“A university is not just a place to earn a degree; it is where young minds discover their potential, develop values and prepare to contribute meaningfully to society,” he said, encouraging students to remain curious, embrace opportunities and pursue excellence.
Dr Vikram Singh, Chancellor of NIU, highlighted the opportunities and responsibilities that accompany the transition into university life. He encouraged students to uphold integrity, discipline and respect while remaining receptive to new ideas and experiences.
Prof. (Dr.) Uma Bhardwaj, Vice Chancellor of Noida International University, underscored the institution’s emphasis on combining academic learning with personal growth and innovation. She described Rubaru Freshers 2026 as a reflection of the energy and diversity of the student community, encouraging the incoming batch to explore their interests and participate actively in campus life.
