Mentored by former Mrs World and psychologist Dr Aditi Govitrikar, entrepreneur Ankita Jain Bhatia will represent the UAE at the Mrs World 2027 pageant in the United States.

A crown may mark a moment, but what follows is what gives it meaning. For Ankita Jain Bhatia, crowned Mrs UAE World 2026 by Dr Aditi Govitrikar at a ceremony in Dubai on October 10, the title marks the beginning of a new chapter — one that brings together entrepreneurship, personal growth and the opportunity to represent the UAE on an international stage.

With Dr Govitrikar, a former Mrs World, psychologist and coach, serving as her mentor, Bhatia will now prepare for the Mrs World 2027 pageant in the United States. The journey ahead extends beyond the demands of international competition, placing equal emphasis on confidence, communication, individuality and the responsibility that comes with a public platform.

Beyond the Crown: Redefining What Pageantry Can Mean

For Dr Govitrikar, who has served as National Director of Mrs UAE World for two consecutive years, pageantry is an opportunity to recognise women for more than their appearance. Drawing on her experience in international pageantry and psychology, she has sought to build a platform that celebrates character, ambition and the confidence to express one’s individuality.

Her mentorship of Bhatia will encompass communication, stage presence, personal branding, media interactions, leadership and emotional resilience — skills that can extend well beyond the pageant stage.

“Pageantry can be a deeply transformative experience when it gives a woman the confidence to recognise her strengths and a platform to express what matters to her. For me, beauty with purpose means looking beyond appearances to a woman’s character, experiences, ambitions and ability to connect with people. Ankita brings an entrepreneurial spirit, individuality and a willingness to explore new possibilities. I look forward to helping her build on these strengths as she prepares for Mrs World. My role is not to shape her into a predetermined idea of a titleholder, but to help her find her own voice, communicate with conviction and approach this responsibility with authenticity. The crown may open the door, but what she chooses to do with the opportunity will define her contribution,” says Dr Aditi Govitrikar, National Director of Mrs UAE World.

The distinction is important: mentorship, in this context, is not about fitting a woman into an established mould, but helping her identify the strengths and perspectives that make her stand apart.

An Entrepreneur’s Journey Takes a New Turn

For Bhatia, the title arrives alongside her entrepreneurial journey, opening up new opportunities to connect with women from diverse backgrounds and engage with audiences beyond her professional sphere.

She sees the experience as an extension of the mindset entrepreneurship has cultivated in her — the willingness to embrace uncertainty, keep learning and explore possibilities beyond familiar territory.

“Being crowned Mrs UAE World 2026 fills me with immense gratitude and pride, along with a sense of responsibility to make the most of this opportunity. Entrepreneurship has taught me to keep learning, embrace challenges and remain open to possibilities beyond what is familiar. I see this new chapter in much the same way. As I prepare for Mrs World, I look forward to discovering new strengths and learning from Dr Govitrikar and the women I meet along the way. I also hope to share a message that is personal to me: our ambitions can evolve as our lives change, and there is always room to begin something new. If my journey encourages other women to trust their individuality, take chances on themselves and keep pursuing what matters to them, it will make this experience all the more meaningful,” says Ankita Jain Bhatia, entrepreneur and Mrs UAE World 2026 titleholder.

During her tenure, Bhatia plans to identify causes that reflect her values and develop a distinct public voice around them. As she prepares for the international pageant, she will also have the opportunity to build connections and engage with issues that resonate with her personal experiences and aspirations.

When Visibility Becomes Responsibility

The growing conversation around women in public-facing platforms increasingly centres on what visibility can make possible. A title can open doors, but the more enduring opportunity lies in how its holder chooses to use that access — whether to share experiences, support causes or encourage others to pursue their ambitions.

For Dr Govitrikar, this sense of responsibility is central to the vision behind Mrs UAE World.

“I have always believed that a crown should amplify a woman’s purpose, not define her worth. I want Mrs UAE World to celebrate women in all their individuality and recognise what becomes possible when they have the confidence and support to step forward. Ankita’s crowning marks the start of her tenure, and I look forward to seeing how she brings her own experiences, values and ambitions to the role,” she adds.

As preparations for Mrs World 2027 begin, Bhatia will draw on her entrepreneurial experience and Dr Govitrikar’s guidance to navigate the next stage of her journey.

For now, the crown represents both an achievement and an invitation: to explore new possibilities, find her voice on a larger platform and define what this opportunity means on her own terms.

Because the most compelling stories of empowerment are not simply about being chosen. They are about what a woman chooses to do next.
