With recycled materials, bio-based ingredients and air-purification technology, JK Maxx Paints’ latest launch brings sustainability into the world of luxury interiors, one wall at a time.
The future of interiors is beginning to look a little greener. As sustainability becomes an increasingly important consideration in how homes are designed and lived in, the spotlight is shifting to the materials that shape our everyday spaces. Paint, often chosen for its colour and finish, is now part of a larger conversation about responsible consumption and conscious living.
Entering this space, JK Maxx Paints, backed by JK Cement Limited, has introduced JK Naturals, a new sustainable paints brand, with JK Naturals Aura Luxury Interior Emulsion as its debut offering. Positioned as “India’s First Nature Lovers’ Paint”, the range seeks to bring together premium aesthetics, material innovation and a more considered approach to home beautification.
Announced on October 21, 2026, JK Naturals Aura combines more than 40 per cent eco-friendly content, including over 10 per cent bio-based emulsion, with air-purification technology and a refined finish. The product is designed for consumers who want their interiors to feel elevated while making more environmentally conscious choices.
Where Innovation Meets the Everyday
At the heart of JK Naturals Aura is an approach to materials that looks beyond conventional paint formulations. Developed in collaboration with Denmark-based cleantech company Shark Solutions, the product incorporates recycled polyvinyl butyral (PVB) recovered from end-of-life laminated glass.
The process gives a discarded material a second purpose, transforming post-consumer waste into a value-added raw material for paint manufacturing. It is an example of circularity finding a place in a category traditionally associated with colour, texture and decorative appeal.
The sustainability story also extends to the product’s packaging, which incorporates recycled materials. Together, these elements reflect an effort to consider environmental responsibility across more than just the formulation itself.
A Breath of Fresh Perspective
Beyond its material composition, JK Naturals Aura features air-purification technology designed to reduce formaldehyde present in indoor environments and help improve indoor air quality. The formulation is paired with a rich sheen, superior smoothness and a palette of more than 2,000 shades, bringing a luxury interior finish into the conversation around conscious design.
For modern homeowners, the proposition lies in the intersection of appearance and performance: a paint range that aims to deliver a premium finish while incorporating recycled and bio-based materials.
Nitish Chopra, Business Head – White Cement and Paints, says the launch reflects the company’s effort to respond to evolving consumer expectations.
“With JK Naturals, we are taking this commitment forward by bringing sustainability into the home beautification category,” he says, highlighting the combination of innovative materials, air-purification technology and premium finishing. He also points to the collaboration with Shark Solutions as part of the company’s wider exploration of materials that balance performance with environmental responsibility.
A Pledge That Goes Beyond the Walls
The launch also introduces a consumer-facing initiative called Pledge a Tree. A QR code on the product packaging allows consumers to take an online pledge, with the company committing to plant one tree for every pledge taken.
The initiative adds a participatory dimension to the launch, encouraging homeowners to connect individual purchasing choices with a broader environmental effort.
For Amandeep Malhari, Head of Marketing – White Cement and Paints, the idea begins with the relationship between a home and the people who inhabit it.
“A home is more than just a living space; it reflects the choices and values of the people who live in it,” he says. The tree-plantation initiative, he adds, is intended to encourage consumers to participate in a collective effort towards a greener future.
The brand’s launch will also be supported by a digital film that brings its nature-inspired philosophy to life, reinforcing the relationship between home aesthetics and sustainability.
The Next Chapter of Home Beautification
JK Naturals Aura is set to enter the market through a phased rollout beginning in North India between late October and mid-November 2026, followed by a planned nationwide introduction.
For JK Maxx Paints, the launch marks an expansion into sustainable paints at a time when material choices are becoming an increasingly visible part of the home-design conversation. For consumers, it introduces another consideration alongside colour, sheen and durability: the materials that go into creating the spaces they inhabit.
The larger shift is subtle but significant. Sustainability in interiors is no longer confined to reclaimed furniture, natural textures or energy-efficient lighting. It is also finding its way into the finishes that define a room.
With JK Naturals Aura, JK Maxx Paints is making its entry into that evolving landscape, proposing a vision of home beautification where aesthetics and environmental consciousness can share the same wall.
