Collective Artists Network Acquires Terribly Tiny Tales
Collective Artists Network, a leader in the new media ecosystem, is excited to announce today that it has acquired Terribly Tiny Tales, India’s largest storytelling platform.
With this acquisition, the long-term vision of Collective Artists Network is brought to life—establishing the country’s best new media company with its strong roots in popular culture and its growing influence in the media industry.
TTT came into being in 2013 when Anuj Gosalia started a text-first flash fiction platform on the social media channel, Facebook. Feeling challenged to create organic storytelling between all the noise of memes and GIFs on the internet, Gosalia saw an opportunity to bring meaningful and relatable content to digital audiences via TTT.
Over the years, TTT evolved into an all-rounded content powerhouse with a lively community of over 5 million creators and content lovers. With millions of followers, it has expanded across many different social media platforms such as Instagram and YouTube.
According to Vijay Subramaniam, founder and CEO, Collective Artists Network, “My vision has always been about building scale through an ecosystem that enables the best forms of storytelling for creators, and Terribly Tiny Tales aligns with our growth strategy to firmly cement Collective Artists Network as the leading new media company creator and content-ledHeaderCode. “We endeavour to empower the entire creator ecosystem with our network, and this acquisition is another step toward executing against our vision.”
From a micro-fiction platform, TTT has grown to a full-service content company, as it were—into something whose reach and impact are hard to ignore. In terms of weekly engagement, the site reaches 25 million people, creating an invaluable collaboration for ambitious brands looking to tell their stories. TTT has teamed up with brands to produce correspondingly original content, running the gamut from web series and shorts to animated shorts.
Anuj Gosalia, founder and CEO of Terribly Tiny Tales, substantiated the development: “Partnering with Collective Artists Network comes as a defining moment for Terribly Tiny Tales. This association shall help TTT make use of extensive resources and expertise at Collective. This alliance will make us exponentially grow in our reach and impact in the realm of storytelling. We are elated to be a part of this burgeoning force that values creativity, storytelling, and innovation as much as we do.”.
From its very inception, Collective Artists Network has evolved from a talent management company to become an energetic new media company. In the previous year, BigBang.Social was established, a tech platform purposed toward connecting creators with commerce opportunities, brand collaboration, upskilling, and community. This was what created the platform for a thriving creator community.
It had further strengthened its schema of investment last year with the acquisition of Under 25 Universe, a learning technology company that enables one to empower student culture and create opportunities in the creator ecosystem. And, as recently as a few days ago, the Gruhas Collective Consumer Fund with Nikhil Kamath’s Gruhas for investing in and supporting young entrepreneurs and startups in the consumer sector.
Acquisition of Terribly Tiny Tales marks a milestone in this journey of Collective Artists Network’s game-changing creator-led new media businesses. With the proposed acquisition, the Company shall be better positioned to make deeper resonance with diverse audiences across the dynamic media landscape today.
