From couture and jewellery to destinations, hospitality, entertainment and luxury travel, VanVivaha 2026 is bringing the many worlds of the Indian wedding industry under one roof.
An Indian wedding has never really been just a wedding.
It is a wardrobe, a jewellery box, a destination, a menu, a playlist, a guest experience, a production and, increasingly, a full-scale luxury project. There are planners behind the scenes, designers dressing the families, hospitality teams managing the destination, artists creating the atmosphere and an entire ecosystem working to make a few days feel unlike anything that came before.
Yet, despite its scale, India’s wedding industry remains remarkably fragmented.
VanVivaha 2026 is attempting to change that.
Positioned as the World’s Largest Wedding Expo, the two-day exhibition will bring together more than 150 exhibitors and leading brands across a 1,40,000+ sq. ft. venue, including 100+ curated stalls and more than 70,000 sq. ft. of dedicated exhibition space.
Taking place on 24–25 September 2026 at A-DOT, Ambience Island, Gurugram, the expo is expected to welcome 2,000–2,500 visitors, alongside 5–7 curated seminars and knowledge sessions, fashion showcases, entertainment and industry interactions.
But the bigger proposition is not simply scale.
It is connection.
The Wedding Industry, Finally in One Room
Today’s Indian wedding stretches far beyond bridalwear.
Couture sits alongside jewellery. Jewellery intersects with beauty. A destination requires hospitality. Hospitality requires planning. Décor feeds into entertainment, while luxury travel, technology, cars, photography and gifting increasingly become part of the same celebration.
VanVivaha has structured its offering around this interconnected ecosystem, bringing four broad pillars together.
Bridal Couture, Jewellery & Beauty
The traditional heart of the wedding wardrobe gets a contemporary expansion, covering bridal and groom wear, trousseau, styling and jewellery alongside beauty.
Wedding Planning, Hospitality & Destinations
From planners and venues to hotels, resorts, destination management companies and tourism boards, this category focuses on the infrastructure behind the celebration.
Celebration, Décor & Experiences
Décor, entertainment, artists, culinary experiences, mixology, special effects and guest experiences come together under a category that recognises an important shift: weddings are increasingly designed around how they feel, not simply how they look.
Luxury Lifestyle, Travel & Wedding Innovation
Luxury travel, cars, yachts, charters, photography, films, technology and invitations complete the ecosystem, bringing the increasingly expansive world of wedding lifestyle into the conversation.
Together, the four pillars create a 360-degree view of the modern Indian wedding.
Why the Wedding Economy Needs a Platform Like This
India’s wedding economy has become big business.
Figures cited by VanVivaha point to approximately ₹6.5 lakh crore in business from 46 lakh weddings during the 2025 wedding season, based on projections from the Confederation of All India Traders (CAIT). The IMARC Group has estimated India’s wedding services market at US$32.98 billion in 2025, with projections reaching US$92.67 billion by 2034.
At the premium end, destination weddings are also becoming increasingly important as couples and families look beyond conventional venues for celebrations built around travel, hospitality and experiences.
The result is an industry where a wedding can involve hundreds of suppliers, specialists and creative decisions.
VanVivaha’s proposition is therefore less about creating another wedding marketplace and more about creating a meeting point for an ecosystem that is already enormous.
Welcome to the Wedding Forest
There is a reason the exhibition is called VanVivaha.
“Van” means forest, while “Vivaha” means wedding.
The concept of the Wedding Forest draws a parallel between an Indian wedding and a forest: layers upon layers of people, traditions, rituals, colours, businesses, crafts and experiences coming together to form something much larger than any individual element.
It is a particularly apt metaphor for the contemporary wedding.
A lehenga does not exist in isolation. Neither does the venue, the invitation, the menu or the music. Each decision influences another, creating an ecosystem where every detail contributes to the identity of the celebration.
As Tejwannt Singh Lamba, Founder, VanVivaha, puts it:
“An Indian wedding is not one event but a hundred stories happening at once, and every one of those stories deserves a stage. VanVivaha is our attempt to bring the entire ecosystem together, the people, brands, destinations, experiences and ideas that shape the modern Indian wedding.”
From Wedding in India to ‘Wed in India’
There is also a larger ambition behind the platform.
VanVivaha wants to contribute to India’s positioning as a global luxury wedding destination, moving the conversation from “Wedding in India” to “Wed in India.”
It is a proposition that places Indian weddings within a larger global luxury ecosystem—one where international families can discover Indian wedding planners, designers, jewellers, hospitality groups, artists, culinary specialists and destinations.
For India, the opportunity extends beyond weddings themselves.
It puts craftsmanship, culture, cuisine, hospitality and destinations on the same global stage.
Where Business Meets Celebration
For the wedding industry, the value of bringing these categories together is also commercial.
As Sarthak Saini, Co-founder, VanVivaha, says:
“The opportunity today is to bring the wedding ecosystem closer together. Hospitality, destinations, planning, entertainment and luxury services are no longer independent parts of a wedding, they are interconnected. VanVivaha creates a space where those connections can translate into meaningful business and experiences.”
And for the consumer, the appeal is discovery.
Instead of searching separately for a designer, planner, venue, jewellery house, photographer, entertainment company or luxury travel provider, visitors can encounter different parts of the wedding ecosystem in one place.
That matters in an industry where inspiration is often the first step towards a booking.
The Details Are the Wedding
Perhaps the most interesting shift is that today’s wedding is increasingly defined by its details.
The invitation sets the tone. The venue establishes the world. The food becomes an experience. The clothes communicate identity. Music changes the mood. Décor transforms a space. Hospitality determines how guests remember it.
As Namhe Singh, Co-founder, VanVivaha, says:
“Every wedding has its own identity, and that identity is created through hundreds of details. VanVivaha brings the people and brands behind those details together, giving visitors the opportunity to discover new ideas while giving the industry a platform to collaborate and grow.”
And that is ultimately what VanVivaha is trying to capture: the fact that the Indian wedding has evolved into its own industry, culture and creative economy.
With its September edition, the platform is putting that entire ecosystem in one room—where commerce meets culture, luxury meets innovation and, naturally, business meets celebration.
